The TEC Foundation for
Excellence in Audio cordially invites you
and your company to participate in the 17th
Annual TEC L.A. Open, at the ever-popular
Malibu Country Club.
Presented by Harman
and GC Pro | Sterling, the TEC L.A. Open
is a "Best Ball" tournament open to golfers
of all levels. Individuals or companies may
also sponsor a hole or contest at the tournament.
Join the dynamic duo—Honorary Chair Al Schmitt
and Master of Ceremonies Ed Cherney at this
fun event. Along with the usual excitement
and shenanigans, this year players have the
opportunity to participate in a $1,000,000
shootout, a $1,000 chipping contest and a
putting contest, as well as compete for some
exciting Hole-in-One prizes.
It will also
be prizes galore with Sterling Audio generously
donating four Sterling ST55 Class-A FET Condenser
Microphones to the first place team.
Proceeds
of the tournament will support SoundArt (www.soundartla.org).
Sound Art catalyzes a child's raw creativity
through the mentoring power of professional
musicians. It serves the inner city neighborhoods
where enrichment programs are most scarce.
With continuing budget cuts across school
systems, music, arts and other extra-curricular
programs have been hard hit. Yet studies
show that music education leads to improved
overall academic performance and improves
at-risk students’ drop-out rates. Even further,
music education is shown to build self-esteem,
self-direction and confidence among children
and youth.
