Dick Rumore has done it all in the music products industry. He has been a retailer for over 40 years, forming Paragon Music in Tampa, FL. He has been a wholesaler, inventor (he holds two patents for the saxophone), promoter and founder of the Rock School program to encourage young musicians. Dick has also served on the NAMM Board, beginning in 1984 and is currently serving as manager for his two sons’ band, which in the early 2000s was gaining wider notoriety. Dick provided his views on the changes he has witnessed over the years and his hope for the future, when as he said, retailers and suppliers will know that they need each other to survive.
