Don Freeman’s father established the Freeman Decorating Company in 1927. By the 1960s, when Don became president, there were several other service companies under the title of Freeman, so they became known as Freeman Companies right about the time they were hired to assist with the development of NAMM’s trade shows. At the time, NAMM exhibits were held in hotel sleeping rooms, and a new set of policies were required for a convention type setting. Don has not only led the service industry by his creative input into the NAMM show, but has been awarded as a pioneer within the medical industry as well.
