Larry Batiste has served as the musical director for the TEC Awards for over 20 years. His love for music all started when his uncle’s piano arrived in his home while Larry was a child. He later picked up the trombone and played throughout high school and college. He fine-tuned his arranging skills and established a music publishing company, Pure Delite Music, with his partner Claytoven Richardson. Larry was asked to provide the musical direction for the TEC Awards while the event still took place at the annual AES gathering in New York. Since the awards program moved to NAMM, Larry has continued to provide his skillful music direction and leadership, which is always a highlight of the program.
