Ned Phoenix of Townshend, Vermont, a reed organ player and restorer since 1970, is the founder of the Estey Organ Museum in Brattleboro, Vermont. Ned is fond of saying, "This may be the only museum in the world where every visitor, regardless of age or ability, is encouraged to play all the instruments." An organist, violin/fiddle player, composer, and teacher in many genres, he has the love and passion to develop this multi-faceted museum into a relevant influence for people of all ages. Ned assisted Dennis Waring with Manufacturing the Muse, and they co-published the facsimile edition of the Estey Organ Method.
