Advancing Music Making
The Best Communities for Music Education (BCME) is a signature program of The NAMM Foundation. Now in its 24th year, the program recognizes and celebrates schools and districts for their support and commitment to music education and efforts to assure access to music for all students as part of a well-rounded education.
Save The Music is one of 23 music-making programs that received grants from The NAMM Foundation in 2022. Since 1994, NAMM and The NAMM Foundation, through the generous support of NAMM members and donors, have provided $201 million to music-making organizations.
In November, The NAMM Foundation announced the launch of its newest initiative, NAMM’s Million More Music Makers, which will take place April 13 – 15 at The 2023 NAMM Show.

D’Addario Foundation Introduces the Bridge Fund to Increase Equitable Music Education Access in Black Communities
In February, the D’Addario Foundation announced the launch of the Bridge Fund, an initiative specifically focused on bridging the gap between access to music education and the Black community.

Earlier this year, the music education institution launched its newest innovation, School of Rock Online™, to expand access to quality music education for all.
Make Music Day (MMD) is a free celebration of music around the world on June 21st. Launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique, it is now held on the same day in more than 1,000 cities in 120 countries.
